Cassius Clay's historic victory over Sonny Liston in Miami Beach, 1964 -- a young photojournalist named Ken Regan was there to cover the young Ali's upset victory to become World Heavyweight Champion. From that point on, as Ali became “The Greatest of All Time” in his sport, Regan similarly rose to be considered one of the greatest in his own field of sports photography with regular publication in SPORTS ILLUSTRATED, VANITY FAIR, ROLLING STONE, TIME, LIFE, and PARIS MATCH.

Knockout chronicles 40 years of the world's greatest boxers and their most important bouts. Regan’s exquisite photographs are accompanied by his own first hand stories about his various subjects.
Regan’s text delves deeply into the history of the sport and covers everything from the action in the ring, to the post-fight sessions, to the press conferences that followed, where Ali so often rattled off one of his trademark rhymes. Regan even shows us glimpses of some of the world’s best boxers at home with their families and on the road.
