The Story
“Will they ever have another fighter who writes poems, predicts rounds, beats everybody, makes people laugh, makes people cry, and is as tall and extra-pretty as me?”

The Greatest of All Time’s boxing career began when his red Schwinn bicycle was stolen at a local Louisville convention center. He happened to wander into a nearby gym and found a local policeman who trained young fighters. The sobbing, skinny 12 year old claimed he wanted to “whup whoever stole my bike.”
The rest is history.
According to the policeman/trainer, Ali worked out every day and was easily the hardest working kid at the gym.
